Chelsea Alden --  born and raised in Southern California, started acting at a young age in local theatre and national commercials. The passion stayed with her as she pursued music and dance. Encouraged further by briefly living in NYC, watching as her older brother performed on Broadway. While there she attended the Professional Performing Arts School, soaking up all New York City had to offer. After their short time on the East Coast, the family eventually headed back to Los Angeles where Chelsea finished out her education and her career continued to grow.

 

Most recently she can be seen recurring on Netflix hit drama series, "13 REASONS WHY" in the role of Mackenzie, described as an artsy and witty girl who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Other recent credits include guest starring on "GREY'S ANATOMY" (abc), "NCIS" (cbs) or "THE RANCH" (netflix), as well as in her recurring role on season 6 of FX’s “AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ROANOKE”. 

 

Currently, you'll find her working opposite Laura Dern in the Emmy Nominated HBO drama "THE TALE" by Jennifer Fox (also starring: Ellen Burstyn, Jason Ritter, Elizabeth Debicki, Common), and  in the BLUMHOUSE thriller "UNFRIENDED: DARK WEB" written and directed by Stephen Susco (The Grudge, Purge).

 

Chelsea's short film, "THE HUMAN PROJECT" which she produced and stars in, just finished making the rounds on the festival circuit. The film premiered in Los Angeles, and has garnered more than 12 official selection laurels (Le Petit Cannes, LA Shorts, Napa Valley FF... to name a few). Chelsea was also nominated for her performance in the short, for Best Actress at the WeMakeMovies Int. FF 2019.
